DIAL UP internet????

my guy just ordered dial up internet, just how does it work and how slow is this dial up?

Dial-up is slowwwww.  The way it works is you plug the phone line into the computer.

The computer dials the provider.

While you are surfing the internet you cannot receive calls.

Did I mention it is slow?

It is h**l slow and beside it is much more expensive because you pay by units

i think on dial up internet you cant use the house phone and it gave me much trouble because my mother store kept getting robbed and they could get to her and it is fast but it sucks
