DID CLOMID WORK FOR YOU? ?

Hi I am on my second month of TTC with Clomid, Metformin and the trigger shot. My doctor is a Fertility specialist. First time everything was okay I ovulated and everything but I did not get pregnant (the worst feeling ever). Now I am trying again. I am so afraid that the same thing will happen. Anyone had any luck and how many tries did it take until you finally conceived ?

  1. I am on my 3rd round of Clomid and nothing yet.  I am praying that the next round is the one!

TTC is a hard road to go down for some of us, so I wish you good luck and lots of baby dust!

  2. It didn't work for me, I took it for 6 cycles.  It did return normal ovuation for me though (which I wasn't having before taking it) and I've read many sucess stories about conceptions while using it.  Not everything will work for everyone but it's worth a shot.  Try not to put so much pressure on every try (cycle)...I know it's easier said than done.  Good luck!!!

  3. When I started the Clomid, I too was bummed when I did not get pregnant the first time around.  We did conceive on the second month, but unfortunately miscarried, blighted ovum.  Waiting to have one normal cycle and then looking forward to trying it again.  We had tried unsuccessfully for a year.  Good luck!!

  4. It didn't work for me.  My ob/gyn prescribed it last year to me.  I tried it 3 cycles.  I didn't use the trigger shot.  I am now seeing an RE and have done 2 treatment cycles with Gonal F (fsh injections) and a trigger shot and haven't conceived yet.  It is hard to hear that it was a perfect cycle (ovulation happened, levels are great, etc) and it still not result in a pregnancy.  Hang in there!!!  Best wishes!!!

  5. I took it for 2 cycles at 100 mg, took a month break then took it again at 50 mg and got pregnant that cycle.  I ended up miscarry at 5 weeks though.  The higher the dose, the less it worked for me.

It also tends to delay my ovulation by a 5 to 7 days.

  6. I personally have not taken Clomid but I've had two friends that have taken it and have become pregnant. I took my first friend one year to become pregnant while taking it and my second friend it only took four months. I guess it all depends on the woman and her body. Since this is only your second month trying, don't give up you still have plenty of time. Good luck and baby dust your way!
