  1. yes

  2. ya if nascar didn't hand jr. the win on silver platter then he wouldve passed the 9 and 88 cars

  3. Yes today was Junior's "Barry Bonds" moment. This "win" will always have an asterisk beside it in the record books.

  4. NASCAR may have been wrong about where Vickers should have been on the restart, however to say that he was cheated out of a win is not accurate. Vickers would have had to get around Kenseth which he was not able to do nearly the entire race, not to mention Kahne and then JR himself. It is anyones guess as to say what  what would have been. I really do not think that this should be an issue.

  5. would it have made a difference if the person that won was not Dale Jr? Would have been better if it would have been Kyle Busch (who seems to be the other golden boy?)

All I have to say is would you guys like some cheese with your whine?

  6. get over it haters, junior won the race and it will not go down in history as 'one of the more contrivertial races in recent history' as the whiney hater best answer keeps saying in  his answers. hater nations tear drops will dry up soon enough and we'll all move on tol next week. but i'll tell you haters something, you'd better get used to it, because yesterdays win was only the beginning, there'll be more where that came from. so get the tissues and the haterade ready, because you'll need  to come up with many more excuses about how he cheated to win races and championships.

  7. you bet you they did!

  8. Without hating on you I have to say you are ignorant of a few facts.

One is Dale Jr drives the 88 car not the 8.

Mark martin drives the 8 and he was in like sixth place when he ran out of fuel.

Vickers was held back but never in contention to catch Jr.

A yellow flag freezes the field.

Spence,   go back and look at the video, Jr is  five cars ahead of second place and pulling away when the yellow comes out. Vickers isn't in the picture.

  9. Team Red Bull was cheated out of their first win just so Nascar could get their poster boy back in victory lane. Vickers won that race.

    To beth:

One is Dale Jr drives the 88 car not the 8.

-Yes but being told not to pass the 8 is what screwed him over.

Mark martin drives the 8 and he was in like sixth place when he ran out of fuel.

    -See above response.

Vickers was held back but never in contention to catch Jr.

-He was in position to pass everybody in front of him and was in the process of doing that and then Nascar told him to lay off.

A yellow flag freezes the field.

-This happened before the yellow flag.

  10. I knew dead on that the 83 was gonna win that day, but NASCAR made a huge mistake Jr.'s losing streak should of kept on going. NASCAR was wrong today, and I don't know why the #83 was sent back to 5th or what not. To me Jr. always had a little special treatment in the sport, but thats my opinion.

  11. It's very possible. I think the win will be scrutinized for a long time in NASCAR. Regardless of whether he would have won or not, they still made a bad call and I'm sure it had some effect on the finish.

  12. I don't know about that. But how about NASCAR telling Jr to stay behind the pace car & him not listening & NASCAR doing nothing? That to me was NASCAR's way of handing the win to Jr. He was warned once. The 2nd time he should have been penalized.

XENOS (below me) I am not now nor have I ever been a Jr or a Kyle Busch fan. Nor do I like wine. So you can take your cheese & keep it. I have nothing against Jr. In fact I am happy he finally won one, he's work hard for one. I do not, however, like the way he won or how NASCAR practically hannded it to him on a platter. A win is a win yes, I will give you that one. But to have one handed to you is not a 100% win.

If you can't earn it you don't need it. And I just happen to have to guts to stand up to fans whom think otherwise & to voice my opinion without fear of the all mightly "whoever" nations. People who don't like my opinions can report me or block me. I don't care.

So take your wine & cheese & enjoy yourself.

  13. Awwww, get over yerselves.

Everything has to be a big Frigging controversy doesn't it?

Give the man and his team the dues they deserve. Jr. won that race fair and square.

Jr was going about 0.2 seconds faster per lap than Vickers, who was four spots back. So how was he going to catch and pass Jr. in 3 laps (green white , checker-remember?)

Bring on the thumbs down , and Please, someone report me as usual.

  14. I don't exactly know how he was told to stay where he was because of the caution.

  15. To Spence:

Team Red Bull was cheated out of their first win just so Nascar could get their poster boy back in victory lane. Vickers won that race.

That is not a fair statement, races are unpredictable and no one knows the outcome of any given race.  I agree that NASCAR should have given Vickers his postion back because he passed the 8 car before the caution came out and he might have been in the process of passing cars but he was no longer in contention,he did not have enough laps.

  16. its all a conspracy man

  17. Not out of a win, (as I get bombed with thumbs down) but he got ripped

  18. As a Jr fan, I do feel that Vickers was cheated out of being in contention for the win. I thought early on that this was Vickers' day, but I was wrong. I don't mind how it turned out for Jr though, lol!

    WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. You need to posting the same question over and over. LOL.

Vickers was told to get back behind the "8" then the 8 ran out of gas as soon as race went green, so he never really lost that spot. He STILL didn't have enough to catch the 17 or 9, so how could he have caught the 88?

So in conclusion, even though Vickers was told to get behind the 8 (controversy or not), the 8 still wasn't an issue since he dropped out right away when race went green. Imo the 17 was stronger and even he couln't get going past the 88 or even the 9. Want sum cheese with that "whine" sir?

  20. Yes and they cheated Matt Kenseth too when the Official stepped out in front of his car! Today's race wasn't the best I have seen in a while! NASCAR cheated two guys and like someone else mentioned NASCAR didn't penalize Dale Jr. for not listening! I have nothing against Dale but I think that should have been a penalty! I don't care if I get thumbs down either that is my opinion of the race today!

  21. No way Alan. When you look up the 2008 records next year, you will see where Junior win. No asterisk.

    JUST A WIN BABY.

    READ 'EM AND WEEP.

  22. Spence has the most honest and correct answer on this subject.  I do have to mention, too, that not only was Martin placed in front of him (which made no sense to me either), Martin also pushed Kahne around during the caution, which is supposed to be illegal...at least I thought it was.  I am a Johnson fan, but that should have no bearing on the answer given, since Jr's a teammate, and Johnson wasn't going to win anyway!  Check out the article on yesterday's race on Nascar.com.  Looks like Kenseth had issues with it too!

I forgot to mention that AFTER Jr was warned by Nascar officials to stay behind the pace car, he did it again.  I DVR'ed the race and just checked it out!
