DID You know that Michael Phelps could not break the 1,500meter record for 13-14 years old?

I wonder what times this awesome swimmer could achieve in the modern era? keeping in mind the new rules of 15m under water swimming, extra kick in breastroke etc etc, your thoughts are welcomed! by the way the record in the 1500meter for Jesse is still standing and if i am not mistaken it was in 1977, time was 15:34 or so.....

Nit pick all you like Michael Phelps is the one with all the gold metals. I'm sure if he wanted to beat the record from (Jesse Vassallo) whom I've  never heard of, he could.

who cares, Michael Phelps doesnt care about the 1500 free.

not that it is not an important race.....it's just not a race that he swims often. its not his thing. he has plenty of other races to concentrate on.

Well, that was probably way before he peaked, speedwise. The 1500 isn't his best event, seeing as he didn't swim it at the Olympics, and it sounds like a miserable one. He's more of a mid-distance person, with his longest freestyle event in the Olympics being the 200 free.
