DIFFERENCES BETWEEN WINTER AND SPRING TWIGS?

winter twigs are bare because all of the attached leaves have fallen off. spring twigs have buds on them indicating that the leaves are growing back.

winter twigs have leaf scars from where past leaves have fallen off. The winter twigs will also have bud scales on them. New growth will be flesh and will bend greater distances  because it has less secondary growth on it.

depends wat kind of tree. i guess the spring twigs are darker and the winter ones lighter.
