  1. The origin is Macedonian, but we change them, because of our arrogant  statement that Macedonia and Macedonians don't exist.

    DIMITRAKOPOULOS = DIMITROSKI or DIMITROV

    CHRISTOPOULOS  = CHRISTOSKI or CHRISTOV

  2. poulos is also Pontios - we should know!!! Mother in law '.....idis' father in law  ..........opoulos

  3. probably Peloponessus

  4. Whenever you see the end "-poulos" it means "little bird" or "chick", which is to say "son" or "child"

    This is to say that "Dimitrakopoulos" means "son of Dimitri"

    and "Christopoulos" Means "son of Christo"

    These names are the greek equivalent of "Johnson"= "son of John"

    The suffix changes according to the region

    "-poulos" is mainly in Peloponessus,

    "-akis" is in crete, '-idis" is northern Greece, (pontaic heritage)etc...

    The "s" on the end denotes a males last name, for females, it's "ou"
