Question:

DISH DVR.... How can I switch from one room to another

We have dish with the dual dvr which means the box only has to be in one room, but works for both TVs. We want to move the actual box from the living room to the bedroom, but when we tried it will not get a signal in there. Are there any cables that need to be switched around for this to work or do we have to call Dish out here to do it???

  1. If you are moving the receiver you should probably call the installer back out.  They use what are called diplexers to backfeed the signal to the secondary room.  There should be one behind your current receiver and one at your cable entry.  If you know how about diplexers all you have to do is switch them to make the secondary become your primary.  If you don't know about diplexers call the installer.

    Congrats on the baby!
