Question:

DISH TV movie codes (V,L,N.SC)--am I misinterpreting what they mean?

When I go for info on movies shown on DISH, they give some codes like those above which I presume are warnings about content. But now I think I've been misinterpreting the codes because they don't seem to reflect what happens in the movies. For example, I thought "V" must stand for "violence" and "N" for "nudity"--but oftentimes there is no violence or no nudity when these codes appear. What do they actually stand for??
