  1. Go to one park only, preferably Disneyland.  Buy tickets ahead of time so you don't waste time in line.  You can bring food, water and snacks with you.  Every adult can carry a backpack.  Eat breakfast before you go or in the car.  When you get there, eat snacks in line rather than lunch.  Buy a fast food meal in the late afternoon.  Eat more snacks in the evening.  You can also leave the park and eat fast food, but that wastes a lot of time and is not all that much cheaper than fast food in the park.  Instead of souvenirs,  bring a dollar store autograph book and let the kids get autographs from all of the characters.  They can even glue in pictures of the characters on the pages they will sign on the car trip there.  There really is no way to get in cheaper, other than the Southern California $99 for 3 days mentioned above.

  2. The $99 three day pass is only good for Southern California residents only,

and it is only valid for 45 day after its first use- it is a great deal for locals. These passes are not available at the park, and must be purchase at an "off resort" Disney Store, Von's, Ralph's, Pavilion's, Albertson's supermarkets.

It is also advisable to purchase your ticket in advance, call 714-781-7290 and ask if there are any specials that you can take advantage of.

Check with your place of employment, many offer great ticket prices, along with AAA and travel agents.

If you need a Hotel, get a room outside the Disneyland Resort District, and get a room during the week days M-Thr- you'll get a better rate and or find one that offers a  free continental breakfast, get up early and use it.

Pack in your lunch and or dinner.  The picnic area is left of the Disneyland entrance near the lockers ($15 will get you a large locker all day).  Bring your own water you can refill your bottles at any restaurant.

If you eat in the park Pizza Port is great for the kids and their large portions of pasta can feed two or more- it's quite tasty there too.  Also the new menu at French Market is very good, and reasonably priced. Also where meals are prepared cafeteria style, don't be afraid to ask for larger portions they are very accommodating.

Meals will range from: Kids $10 to $15  Adults: $12 to $20+ per meal.

The Park has been slow this summer everyone is feeling the pinch, try going during the weekday when there are less pass-holders in the park. It's also been hot and muggy here in SoCal so take it slow and drink lost of water. Don't feel the need to see and do everything, Disneyland will be there for the next trip.

As for the park experience: Get, and save up your FastPass' during the day for the "E" ticket rids like Indy, Space Mountain, Big Thunder and Splash, and use them later in the day.  Knock out Fantasyland early.  Take lots of breaks and sit in the shade and drink lots of water.  Bring your own snacks!

Check out Mouse Plant for park up dates:

This is often an controversial  suggestion but if you have a child that needs a stroller I recommend leaving them with family of friends. I've seen a lot of tired angry  parents and toddlers over the past weeks because it's been to dang hot, or the parents insist on trying to haul there little ones through the park from 8 AM till midnight .

My rule is: If a child can not walk and or stand for 6 hours it does not need to be there.  Think about it, you will be on your feet for at least 9 to 10 hours, that's over time for most working people. And most kids tucker out in 3.

  3. You're not going to get any deals for staying for one day. Maybe you should wait, and go for a few days through the disney travel co or something like that. They do have 3day passes for $99 at albertsons, but you have to be a so cal resident in order to get them.

if you go through the disney travel co and get a hotel, 3 day tickets and things they offer food vouchers. you buy this booklet that has 3meals and snacks per day. it seems expensive, but really you save a c**p load of money

  4. go coupon hunting
