DJ's. laptops and big speakers

at a disco how does the DJ connect those big speakers to there laptop do they have a certain lead or do the have something connected to to there laptop what connects to the speakers and what leads do you need

well...depends on the laptop..if it has an SPDIF output..thats two audio outs then u use anormal 3.5 inch audio jack to composite out connecting lead..Now this lead gets connected at one end to your laptop while the other to your amplifier. remember to connect at the right channel.If u get my answer...ok...orelse mail me back..will show a pic of the lead....simple
