I had new lenses put in today by another optical company and after I was home the arm snapped. There is still wire holding the arm on but the plastic is snapped through. Thanks in advance. Model number is DY4502 3008 and they're burgandy and pink if that makes any difference.

  1. If it's an ophthalmic frame, usually one year from date of purchase.

It also depends on where you got them from.  The original license holder (Marchon) lost the license about 2 years ago.  America's Best picked up a load of closeouts from them.

Please go back to where you got them from.  They may have parts available to fix the frames.

  2. Where did you get the frame? If it is a DKNY from a department store the quality of the frame is much different than an ophthalmic frame. The name DKNY is licensed to one of the major eyeglass frame companies, Marchon , I believe. The ones at dept stores have much cheaper hinges and aren't usually any good except for non prescription use.  If you bought the frame within the last year from an optical shop, bring it in and see if it can be warranteed. At the very least you can get a replacement arm (temple). If the frame is is older, that could be a problem if it's no longer made. If it is a dept store frame and you can get another one just like it, you're stuck. A good optician may be able to get another frame to fit the lenses if you can't get the same one.

  3. depends on where you got the frame...was this your own frame and you got new lenses  made for them? if so then there's nothing that can be done..

if it was a brand new frame that you purchased with the lenses, then depending on the place you purchased it from, they would have their own warranties...for example, if you got them at an optical retail chain, they usually switch it out for a new frame at no charge (to keep you as a customer) and they have warranties that go along with your purchase by default...if you got it at a private practice, it would be however they wanna deal with it...they don't have to guarantee anything and they might just tell you to contact DKNY yourself
