I FOUND OUT THT AM PREGNANT BUT I HAVENT KEPT A TRACK ON MY PERIODS FOR THE LST FEW MONTHS SO HOW WLD THE GP B ABLE 2 WORK THIS OUT BCOS U USUALLY TELL THEM UR LST PERIOD N THEY CAN WORK OUT HOW MANY WEEKS GONE U R WLD THEY DO A ULTRASOUND SCAN?

They can use an ultrasound to take measurements of the embryo, embryonic sac and uterine wall to estimate the gestational age of the baby. My current pregnancy was estimated in that way since I don't have cycles regularly yet, conceived naturally.

They will perform an ultrasound, and will be amazingly close to the date of conception.

My cousin who is an OB Nurse Practitioner told me the due date is just a great big guess, as is the conception date.  After a few more weeks your OB/GYN can give you a good GUESS.

She also says there are far too many induced labor turned into C-Sections out there and expectant mothers shouldn't buy into strict "due dates".  

So go for the ultra sounds and take with a grain of salt the "due date".
