not at my school. they wear a yellow jersey and nobody hits them

At my highschool they don't let you hit the QB as odd as it sounds. Most highschools I know don't allow the defense to tackle the QB in practice.

To my knowledge in my highschool they and punters and kickers, and players limited due t a aling injury were avoided by contact, some high schoiols might involve them in contact but personally i havent seen it
