    It is different from football, basketball, etc, but it is a sport.

    Each to his / her own.

    It has health benefits for many people who could not participate in basketball, for example, because of age or physical limitations.

  3. Definitely. If you are a true golfer and try to be good at all you would know the time and effort that is needed to play golf. I play basketball and baseball also and I am good in all of them and I will admit golf is the hardest to play.

    - well it is indeed an activity, athletic is another thing, but ask someone who plays golf, walking around that course is dreaded

    - it takes a tremendous amount of skill (you ever try to hit a par round), it said skill or physical process...the OR doesn't mean it has to fit both requirements

    - competitive nature, do i need to explain that one?

  9. Yes i do consider golf a sport. It is not like Football or baseball but it  requires the same things passion,skill,talent and determination to win.

  10. yes, golfers are the most mentally tough altheletes in the world, and you still have to swing the club hard to make the ball go, so some physical skill is required. Also, you must have hand eye coordination to actually strike the ball. Touch around the greens is also important and the ability to be creative and shape shots from all different angles. in face some call golf the most difficult sport in the world.
