I love Stephen King's ideas.  They are almost 'cheap, simple' movies, yet they have this creepy, eerie feel to them.  I really enjoyed 'The Mist', which has a similar theme, people trapped inside a small supermarket, by monstrous bugs and insects outside, in the mist.

thank you to the person that gave the correct answer "Maximum Overdrive". I was racking my brain to figure it out.  It is one of my favorite movies. I always feel so sad for the newleyweds.
