  1. I'm vegan. And what do I think about vegetarians? Well if its for them then so be it. But to be quite frank, when it comes to animal rights, then it makes such little difference they should wonder why they are doing it. If we are still producing animals for eggs and milk then they will still eventually be killed for food if you eat them or not. A veggie kicking off about animal rights is like a rapist in prison looking down his nose at the murderers.

disclaimer: I understand that animal rights is not the only reason to go veggie.

  2. I do not "hate" vegetarians, I just think it is pointless to go meat-free because of animal cruelty because no matter what animals will be killed to feed people... plus I am clueless as to how vegetarians actually fill up and stay FULL because meat is what satisfies me!

  3. yes, except when their your friend and they call you an ignorant person everytime your together and you eat a burger. :/

  4. i don't care if someone likes me or not, i don't support torture so i'm not eating something that was tortured.  not neccessary.  it shouldn't bother anyone else what i'm eating or not eating. i don't make opinions of what they are eating.

  5. well im a vegatarian but im not a vegi because of animal cruelty but because of an artical i read and i started to through up when i ate meat but i dont brodcast it like yelling at people for eating meat or anything and really people who do it to protect animals are just doing what they think is right  and we are all normal people

  6. How can you NOT like somebody who doesn't support animal cruelty?

People get wrapped up in their own aggressive intolerance of other beliefs. They don't do any research of other viewpoints and choose to remain blind to the horrors of the meat industry.

Sorry, I'm ranting. But I honestly don't care what people like that think about me.

Edit: Like the person below me. LOL.

  7. I heart vegetarians! Accept them. I was a vegan for the first few years of my life and didn't eat much meat afterwards. It's a good way of life.

  8. She don't like meat but she sure likes the bone, that's my kinda vegitarian!

  9. I can understand where they are coming from. Some animals are treated terribly before they are slaughtered.

i wish i could be a veggie but if i didnt have meat in my diet i would be anaemic! i always buy free range eggs, at least those chickens arnt cooked up in battery farms

  10. I've generally found that I do not like vegetarians; and interestingly it doesn't really have anything to do with what they do/don't eat most of the time. I've found them to be kind of 'precious' people in general. I know what I mean by a 'precious' person, but I'm not sure if everyone knows its use in that way so I looked it up. It's a person who is affectedly or excessively delicate in their sensibilities, likes and dislikes, things they can't live with and can't live without.

Sure, some vegans are down to earth and likable. But for the most part I've found them to be a pain, overly touchy, and all-in-all a little too good for this world.

I think it's no so much eat meat/don't eat meat that makes a person tend to be a certain way as much as certain personality types will tend toward vegetarianism. So I guess it would be most accurate to say that I don't get on well with the personality type that tends to decide to be a vegan.

  11. I'm not a vegetarian because I love animals, silly. I'm a vegetarian because I hate vegetables.

  12. To Each Their Own - if we all thought the same, this would be a boring world - now wouldn't it!! LOL

  13. I like some vegetarians, I don't like others.  But I like some meat-eaters and not others.  I don't automatically dislike a person for any silly reason like differing viewpoints on meat consumption.

Now personally, I appreciate the empathy of vegetarians who are that way due to their strong beliefs about animal cruely but I don't fully understand it.

Humans have been breeding and slaughtering animals for substinence for thousands of years.  It's the natural order of things.  Choosing not to eat meat is not going to change that.  Maybe I'm willfully ignorant, but I don't see vegetarianism as an effective form of activism.

  14. I can not say I dislike or like vegatarians they have a right to their opinon and how they feel. I am an animal lover myself, but I am no vegatarian we need to eat to survive thats how I see it. Your eating plants wouldn't that be cruelty to the enviroment picking off plants to eat.

  15. I am a vegetarian. Of course I like vegetarians. Lot's of my friends eat meat, and I am still there friend. I see no reason why it wouldn't be the same if lots of my friends were vegetarian and I ate meat.

  16. The animals should be killed in a humane way but I dont disagree with eating meat. Its the food chain.

  17. YES it's a great choice... if you have the proper nutrition... trust me, I was one for a year and 1/2, by the last 1/2 I was sick all the time, and tired all the TIME!!!!

  18. Well, there's many other reasons to be vegetarian past the ethical aspects of eating the decomposing body of a sentient creature, but... yeah, I like vegetarians. But then, the bias in this section of Yahoo Answers is pretty overwhelming to one side, I'd say.

  19. well, i personally am NOT a vegetarian, but i don't care/am not bothered by them. vegetarians should well know by now tat they r NOT gonna b able to stop humanity from eating animals, as cruel as they may perceive it as.And Meat eaters should just let them b, i mean.....more meat for u. =)

  20. No, its a stupid idea.  Animal cruelty is just a way for them to justify their eating disorder.  Eating only vegetables won't save the livestock that are bred to be KILLED and EATEN.  I don't know how many times I have to explain this but if you suddenly won and PETA took over the world and released all the animals, you know what would happen?  Wolves and bears would feast on the livestock not designed for anything but to be eaten.  So in reality,  vegetarians accomplish nothing, as if their plans ever took hold the animals would die anyways.

  21. vegetarians have a right to eat what they want.

I, on the other hand, love meat and don't have enough energy if I don't get it.

Some animals are raised to provide food.  That is their purpose.  And if I was living in a wilderness, I would not hesitate to kill for food.  Should I starve to death because of some vegetarians who think it's cruel to kill animals?  I think not.

  22. I am not a vegetarian and would not even think twice about being one. but it is my opinion that animals were put here for a reason.  Not just for us to look at but to be a source of food for people.  I mean I don;t think there is anything wrong with people choosing to be vegetarians it just isn't something I would do.

  23. i do some what but i would like them more if they wouldnt lie and say stuff thats not true like

----> Meat production is the # 1 producer of greenhouse gases

farming equipment is within the top 3 producers of greenhouse gases

!--> chickens beaks are made from soft tissue and have nerves in them

  24. i dont understand vegetarians - meat is so delicious i would kill and eat straight from the cow

  25. As a vegan I quite enjoy vegetarians, especially those that are educated and can spell well and know proper grammar.

However, I hate the vegetarians that try to push their beliefs on other people, that's just really messed up. I strongly believe in the freedom of choice.

  26. Eating veggies is a good thing.  But I am not sure of the extreme religious reasons.  Some have centered idol worship around them.  It is healing to the body, but I really don't have the discipline to stay away from chicken, seafood and pork or beef.

  27. yes I do I love when people stand up and have a voice

and I am also a vegi

  28. I'm Vegetarian.

Thats cruelty eating those poor animals.

  29. If they don't care if I eat meat, I don't have a problem with them. The vegetarians I have problems with are the self-righteous ones who shove their morals down your throat. I also hate vegetarians who don't know how to eat properly. They usually end up severely obese from too many carbs and nothing else, or they end up too skinny and sallow and unhealthy looking.

  30. I turned vegetarian recently last october.

Back then I liked their opinions, that's why I'm one now =D

  31. I was vegetarian for a couple of years, and no longer am. I don't think there is anything inherently cruel about eating an animal; it's survival, animals do it in nature all the time. However, I do try to buy free range and local, since it definitely is cruel to treat animals the way they are pre-slaughter. Just because they're destined to become food doesn't mean we should abuse them before they do.
