DO i have A virus. HELP?

i was using google and i searched and i saw this search result Saying CLICK HERE and said other stuff after that and i thought thats wat i was looking for but a weird site came up and stuff started either downloading or looking through my files or something like that... it also said something about how i needed virus protection or something... but yea i canceled it as soon as i could so maybe i am ok? So did i get a virus or am i ok. if i got a virus or something what should i do???

I second what Cojoto said. But, you should never assume that there is nothing wrong, when something like this happens.

You should right away perform all your scans for all malicious code.

check this site http://www.world-of-windows-software.com it has some good info on how to identify , avoid and remove adware/spyware , viruses etc.

Learning what to watch for can be very helpful.

Check with the following, better safe than sorry, antivirus won't pick up links like that:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:

Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'
