  1. 1] Well, when something yawns it need to get more oxygen to get to the brain. That's why you and I yawn also. It is most common to yawn when you are feeling tired or just waking up from a deep sleep.

2] A hamster can bite even while in its cage. There are a few possible reasons why this can happen. If you startle your hamster it WILL bite you. If you just got your hamster and you have not yet trained it to trust you it will probably bite. If you awaken it out of sleep it will bite. Hamsters are nocturnal and only are active at night. It will also bit if you are hurting it.

3] If your hamster bites while you are handling it put it down on a soft surface or back in its cage. They are not cats and don't appreciate being held for long.

4] Hamsters move their bedding around to create a nest. These nests are smiler to a birds nest. It is their own private area in which they will feel safe and warm in.

  5. It means it needs more oxygen in it's brain, becayse that's why anything yawns.

You have a smell on your hand or your startled it.

Try not to drop it. Just calm it down or put it back in the cage.

All hamsters do that, not just new ones. It's their natural instinct to burrow and provide themselves with a safe+warm nest.

How well do YOU know your hamster?
