  1. To be very frank, hvn't noticed that, but for future i'll make sure they do it!

  2. Yes.

Working in the hospital I know that the fastest way to give an infection to a  patient is to not wash my hands.  Also, as we come and go from a room.  Needless to say, my hands are raw at the end of the day, yet I know it's in the best interest of the patient.

From the first day of Nursing School we learn to wash our hands before and after we see patients.  They even went so far as to put a solution on our hands and have us wash them for 2 min.  After they put a black light over our hands and where it wasn't washed properly it glowed bright orange.

I also don't like if the Doctor uses Hand Gel.  This might kill the germs but, they are never rinsed from the hands. GROSS!!!

You have to be your own advocate.  If you don't ask it won't be done.  Therefore, If your Doctor is offended, THEY are doing something wrong!!!!!!!  Even if they wear gloves they should wash before putting them on and after taking them off!!!!!!

  3. Not really... my doctor always puts on latex gloves before doing anything so I don't feel like there is a need to.

  4. No, as my doctors wash their hands in the room where I am!
