  1. in London (U.K) we use an oyster card to travel by tube, bus and some trains.

The link will give you more information.

  2. no

  3. Ellooo Faz!

Sovvy.. no train credit card system in mi country!

    Claude!

  4. BART has used that system for about 35 years.  I think they invented it!   Put $10 on the card, and they deduct value as you use it.

Washington Metro has used virtually the same system for about 30 years.

The original ticket machines were built by IBM (back when they absolutely dominated the computer industry).  While the machines were excellent, IBM lost money on the deal and left the trade.  The mechanical readers have been an expensive maintenance hassle for BART.

So I suggest you "leap-frog" that technology, and go with  non-mechanical "smart cards" like Philadelphia PATCO is starting to use

or proximity scanned keyfobs like some gas stations.

There is also the QuickCard for the PATH system (NY/NJ):

In Boston they have the Charlie Card and Charlie Ticket:

In Chicago they have many versions of fare cards:

In Atlanta there is the Breeze card:

There are others but I think you'll get what you need from these sites.

    Good Luck.
