DO you keep precious metals in a bank safe deposit box?

That is about the only safe place to keep them.  They are not completely safe even there of course, but about 99% safer than keeping them in your house.  If you believe legend, pirates used to bury them and then forget where they did or get hanged before they could retrieve them.

In a fireproof safe in my basement. It is too heavy to move. Nothing can hurt it. You would need a blowtorch and/or a drill to open it without the combo, which only exsists in my head.

The local govenment can take your safety deposit box under certain circumstances...like a national emergency or something....saw it on the news.
