  1. The only way the world is going to cut oil use by 25% is if the world population drops by 25%.

  2. YES!   We need to stop wasting & stop polluting.

  3. No, I believe that reductions in the use of bio-fuels needs to be moderated by the impact on the Earth's human communities, animals communities and plant life communities.

Plant life flourishes when the amount of carbon dioxide increases.  This increase in plant life then traps and stores more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.  The benefit of flourishing plant life is the effect of producing more edible foodstuffs for all animal life, human and non-human.  It is possible that in a time of flourishing plant life that even the most arid of climes could begin to reestablish plant life.  The Sahara Desert, at one time, supported a huge plant life community, it could again.  As plant life continues to spread world wide rainfall averages will increase.

Our green planet, it's ecology and climates run in cyclical ways.  We should let it have a chance to flourish.

  4. Depends were we are at and how they want to cut them.  A private 747 Jet uses about 5 Gallons per mile.  So when a person we will call him Gal Aore takes a private Jet from Washington DC to Japan to attend the global warming conference he traveled a distance of 8000 miles.  This is 40,000 gallons of fuel.  I would have to drive my car 1.2 million miles.  (NOTE: CARBON OFFETS ARE A JOKE, IF YOU ARE REALLY CONCERNED YOU PLANT A TREE ANYHOW AND FLY COACH)  Some private jets probable get a better fuel miliage.

One less private jet from NY to LA a day would save enough fuel for 10 average people to drive a car for a year.
