I dont like bush and am voting obama OBAMA/BIDEN 08 !!

BUT regardless as history has shown every leader that invaded a bad country and freed their people was reflected on positively. with bushs approval ratings at historic lows- do you think 50 years from now he will be a hero in textbooks?

  1. worst president of all time

  2. maybe not a hero,

but better than how he's being seen today,

bush did good things and had good ideas but some didnt work as he thought like iraq,

but i think he was sincere.

  3. Much like the evil deeds and disastrous legacy of Reagan has been forgotten by historians already, Bush will be seen as an above average President and leader. Pretty depressing, isn't it?

  4. It depends on who survives to write the history books in 50 years.

  5. I think Bush will be recorded as a very good President.

That is, if the US survives the coming global conflict as a democratic country with organized religion still separated from the government.  If the Islamists win, of course, Bush will be a criminal.

But I expect that the US will not become an Islamist theocracy.  Bush will be seen as one who, despite considerable opposition, prepared the way for a successful defense against Islamist imperial goals.

His biggest failure, that I can see, is his failure to communicate the Presidency's successes as well as the reasoning for its actions.  It's not that these haven't been mentioned or explained; it's that he hasn't generated the enthusiasm or altruistic ideals that are needed at this time.

If Obama wins the election, he will face the same forces and issues that Bush is facing now.  But he seems ill-prepared to deal with them.  He certainly has the charisma to do so, if necessary.  But he seems not to grasp the big picture at this time. I am hopeful in spite of this, that our country will survive the assault.

  6. could very well be i guess it would depend on who is writing those books.

example. my son attends a jr. college. where he was taught as fact, FDR knew the time and day of Pearl harbor and let it happen so we could support england. This wasnt given as opinion the teacher said it was proven fact!

  7. Yes, when you're vacationing in Iraq.

  8. Especially since our country hasn't been attacked since 9/11.

  9. Nope. Not until everyone who is alive today is dead. People will remember the Bush years negatively for the rest of their lives.

Maybe in 100 years.... that gives them plenty of time to rewrite history books.

  10. Impossible.

  11. doubt it....funny guy..but bad president,.,,,he will not be rememberd as a hero...because these reasons

    he invaded 2 countries

when he leaves the office the economy will and already is crumbling

    high gas prices

lowest approval rating in history with 19 %

but he also holds the record for the highest ever approval rating..ofcourse it was during 9/11

  12. its been 60 years since the last time one of your presidents will leave a good name in history. maybe in a strange americanized history yes but in world history they will hold places near hitler, musolini etc

  13. It'll be a big black smudge in the history books. Hero? for WHAT? Trying to destroy our country? Having thirty-some articles of impeachment against him? For lying for 8 straight years? For keeping company with low-life? He is a disgrace.

  14. yes. history will prove him to be a righteous leader.  people never think about what THEY don't know vs. what HE knows.

    but I know two things:

    1 - 9/11 hasn't happened again.

2 - Bush has over and over again come out and stated very clearly to the American people (& the world) what he was going to do, why he thought he should do it, and then, by God, he did it.

  15. Do you realize how much Abe Lincoln was hated? So much so they murdered him. He took a lot more heat than Pres. Bush ever will and in large because of a war he started per say but look at him today, one of the greatest! In my book no one can top him. So yes, I think Bush will do fine, expecially after the mess of things Obma will make.

  16. Only to the oil companies.

  17. I'm sure everyone can't wait to yell NO! But the truth is, only time and future events will tell for sure.

  18. NO, absolutely not. His reign will go down in history as a large pinnacle for change, like that after WWII when Germany was led by Hitler and Europe needed some rebuilding. The United States needs some rebuilding, especially in the government area. Bush is no hero, never will be.

  19. Like Lincoln, only if the Union survives.

  20. Sadly, it could happen.  Look at how many people now thought Reagan was such a great president.

BTW- hannity, before 9/11, the country didn't have a major attack since 1941.  Bush isn't a hero for preventing (Yeah right) an attack for all of 6 1/2 years.

  21. Although Bush is a texbook example of an incompetent puppet for the highest bidder, people have short memories. His legacy will be the same a Jimmy Carter's. Not many people even remember who that is and what he did. And, I am pretty sure, 100 years from now, his name will sound the same as some of the other presidents of 19th century - totally unfamiliar.

  22. He will be regarded as one of the worst presidents in history.
