  1. 99% but there are the 1% that are universal laws such as gravity...This other large percentage of our life we control. I had so many limitations when I was younger but as I became wiser I overcame them. Now I see them as choices. I would learn anything when I was younger even how to change the oil in my car which was unsualy for a girl to do years ago. I could set my VCR when they first came out. Then as I got older I did not learn how to use a computer cause I have not found a teacher or video or been motivated. So I could say I can't learn. The truth is I can but chose not to learn....I have an issue now with a certain person where I get tense around this person. I have been thinking it is his fault cause he is so negative. He wants me to make more money but I like enjoying my time relaxing. I found a way to make money & relax & he went into details about it where it took the fun out it. So I started giving up on this dream job...I can blame him & stay stuck or I can look at all the lessons that are coming from this. When I do it that way I will be letting go of the limitations. So if we look at what we believe about limitations & think an opposite thought we will be set free. Example: a person thinks they can't get a certain job because it won't pay as much as they need...Instead they can say "I know that there are people who pay more that average for this & I will find those people & work for them".

  2. Personal restraint is limitation.  Restriction is external prohibition.

  3. Yes because you are a product of your environment and your brain develops accordingly - not to mention discrimination, illness, government policy, law, etc.

  4.    We can do all things....our limitations are weaknesses or obstacals that we believe are impassable. They may derive from inside our subconscious, or through others doubt in our abilities, but in truth, we can...I'd have to say both.

  5. i think it comes from within. its having the inner strength to go above and beyond. physically and mentally

  6. No,limitations are always psychological,internal.

  7. First, it is important to know the limitation but generally "most" are self-imposed. We can overcome more than we believe we can simply by adopting a more positive, determined , patient and focused attitude.

  8. In my insignificant opinion "Both" I think sometimes we may get wrong ideas from people that influence our decisions in the wrong direction. Similarly we also try to map our previous experiences to new things which is kinda unfair. I think the smallest things matter in life. Sharing Love, caring, humility, peace, justice, forgiveness, awe, gratitude can raise everyone to healing. It is in the process of true love, we heal ourselves. One must be patient and persevaring in this battle of love. Peace, Love, Joy and Blessings!

  9. I think that our limitations are not imposed from anyone, I have been a strong will Woman and I have never let anyone influence me in any way.

  10. Sometimes it can be one or the other - or both. Many people may construe something as being imposed on us from some outside force beyond our control, which in turn causes the person to build up this everlasting internal struggle where nothing seems to ever go right. It can also be a mind over matter thing, where some people believe problems are much bigger than they actually really are and because of this get stressed and can make themselves ill worrying about it all! (I have been like that)

Some people may think that in life there are no limitations, and that all our limitations come from inside us, questioning and critisicing our own beliefs and abilities. I think this is partially true, as individuals, we need to take some time out and focus on our strong points to try and rectify any occurant limitation. However, I do geniunely believe there are forces outside of us, eg environmental factors which has the potential and power to limit us in some way, whether if it's minor or major. I believe that Eustress (a positive environmental stressor) is useful in challenging us in everyday life, such as moving house, birth etc. This is a really thought-provoking question, which can be answered on so many levels!! But personally, I believe we have control to make things better for ourselves and overcome any limitation in life which may be holding us back. It is up to us, how we deal with situations and how we deal with them, in order to emerge as stronger, confident individuals who don't scrutinise their own abilities or own self-worth!
