DOCTOR HELP!!! pLEASE!! ITS URGENT!!?

when the time comes i am planning to be a cardiovascular surgeon... the thing is that i want to study in india cuz i want to settle there in the future...( i am born and brought of america and i am living in the U.S. rite now...) studying in america will take A VERY LONG TIME ( i think like 7-11 years) and studying in india is like 4 years i think.. and i dont want to be a doctor at the age of 30... so i dont kno what to do... should i study in america or india?? PLZ HELP!!

  1. If you're positive you want to practice in India, than why not get certified in India. That being said, you might want to consider that India's professional schools are extremely competitive (as a country of over one billion might make them), so make sure you can get in before committing to that. Perhaps it's smartest to apply to both, see who accepts you, then decide what course you want your future to take based on those options.


  2. First of all I would like to thank you for considering to be a Doctor in India. I hope you know the procedures to become a Doctor in India. You need to clear 12 years in H.School in Science stream with Biology, then you need to pursue MBBS for 5 years. You desire to be a Cardiovascular Surgeon, for that you need to study MS for couple of years. Getting admission to a good university for Medicines in India- it's very hard task, needs preparation, while you are in class X or XI.

    My intension is not to discourage you but to give you the clear picture of higher education, especially in Medicines in India.

    However, you may seek help/advise from Indian Embassy as a NRI Student.
