DOCTOR HELP uRGENT!!!!!?

Question

when the time comes i am planning to be a cardiovascular surgeon... the thing is that i want to study in india cuz i want to settle there in the future...( i am born and brought of america and i am living in the U.S. rite now...) studying in america will take A VERY LONG TIME ( i think like 7-11 years) and studying in india is like 4 years i think.. and i dont want to be a doctor at the age of 30... so i dont kno what to do... should i study in america or india?? PLZ HELP!!

sorry dear somebody has disillusioned you!!!!

doing MBBS will take now 6 years with the new rule implemented for a compulsory one year RURAL sevice!!

after that MS (gen surgery) will take another 3 years !!

then you have to do MCH/DNB in cardiothoracic surgery !!

so all these put together will be 12 years provided you sail through all the entrance exams in FIRST ATTEMPT!!

so you decide MBBS here or there!!

If you want to be a doctor, you need to start talking like an adult.

studying in india to become a good doctor will take 7 years and another 3-4 years of hands on training .. so lady there are no short cuts to sucess.. with your attitude you may never fetch a good doc tag.. so change for good

Sorry, I don't know enough information to answer your question completely, but, just a word of caution, if you ever want to come back to America after becoming a doctor in India, they won't let you practice in the US without more training.

Well, if you study in India you won't be allowed to practice in America not without training again. So I'd stick with the USA. As for the age, becoming a doctor is difficult that's why they weed out the lazy people in the beginning.

Since you want to live in India, why not just transfer and finish your studies there. You might have less loans to pay back.
