  1. You don't remember the days of the early 90's with Oscar Azocar, Steve Balboni, Tim Leary, and Andy Hawkins do you?

  2. No, there've been much much worse.

  3. I am by no means any kind of a Yankees fan, but in their defence who predicted the Rays would be leading the AL East for about 95% of the season so far (especially over the Red Sox)??  I sured didn't.  I figured the Sox would have ran away with the division this season, but Cinderella, so far, has no plans of leaving the ball just yet...

Underachievers, yes.  Worst Yankees team ever...not even close.

  4. No way it the worst. They're still in the race for the WC.

  5. i just want the season to end : (

  6. Any team over .500 that's within six games of a wild card berth in mid August cannot be considered the "worst of all times."

I've been a Yankees fan since I was 4 years old. I have one year for you: 1990. That team went 67-95 and was applauded when they won a late September game that would assure they wouldn't finish with 100 losses. (I remember that game and the relief Phil Rizzuto had when the last out was recorded.)

Trust me. As disappointing as this season has been, it's not the worst in Yankees history. Far from it.

  7. Apparently you did not watch the Yankees in the early '70's or in the 80's.

Arod may not be like he was last year but his numbers are still good.

Yankees are above .500 but in the AL East they have to be way above .500  Joe Torre's Dodgers are worse yet in a c**p division so .500 or under may get him to the playoffs, but they'll never win.

  8. Considering the amount of salary cap usage vs. the output, this Yankee team must be extremely disappointing for both fans and management. I am just flabbergasted that they have gone to the crapper. With the bats they have and they cannot score runs? Even with the pitching being very shaky they should still be knocking in enough runs to win more games than they have. But then again, 3 straight 1st round exits, no division title last season so I guess the writing is on the wall. You gotta remember, the Yankees blamed Torre for their recent failures and really didn't upgrade, they only spent more money unwisely. Simply put, I just believe this team is not going to cut the mustard. And its really too bad because this is a sad mockery of their great tradition. I guess tearing down Yankee Stadium is a bit symbolic. If the Yankees want to catch back up with my Red Sox they better get younger and better. And that would mean ditching the old and overrated and not being so hung up on their wonderful farm system which doesn't appear to be so wonderful now.

  9. You don't remember 1966?

  10. Hahaha, that was a good one.

The Yankees are above .500. Are you kidding me? The worst of all times?

You haven't been around long, have you?

  11. hahahaha. Thanks for the chuckle.

  12. no, you go away... and stop typing in all caps.

  13. Far from the worst. I remember early 70's & some the 80's that there were worse times for the Yankees.  This years Yankees are struggling but they still have a winning record

  14. Don't fret too much, you could have a lineup like the Seattle Mariners.

  15. No and you don't know enough about the Yankees to even ask such a thing.
