  1. a friend??

a seamstress or tailor... look inthe phone book. alot of times Drycleaners have seamstresses who work there to take in or repair trousers and what not... try there as well.  and keep on sellin them yummy cookies!!!

  2. Hi there!  If I may suggest, there is this nifty stuff that is just an Iron-on Patch Kit, which pretty much looks like a dryer sheet (but not the same material) and is an adhesive.  You cut the sheet to the size of the patch, then just use an iron to stick it right on.  It's really easy, and it works for a lot of patches.  For reinforcement, fabric glue works too.  You can find this kit at your local Girl Scout council, or even Boy Scout council, it's all the same.  Best of luck to your daughter with Scouting!  It really means something, especially if you stick with it.

  3. Most of the badges, patches, and insignia are iron on, no sewing needed! If you don't have the package they came with for ironing instructions, ask the leader.

Ask your daughter's leader, she may know someone who sews the stuff on. In our area, one leader does, for a donation of $1 a patch to the troop.

Also ask at dry cleaning places that also do alteration. But be sure you ask first, some charge as much as $5 a patch!

  4. Your daughter should ask her troop leader for lessons in patch sewing -- I suspect it would be useful to other troop members too.

Otherwise, take the sash and patches to a dry cleaner that offers alterations.  You'll need to indicate exactly where each patch goes.
