  1. OMG the best Thai Restaurant is ~OCHA~ is sooooo delicious!... i know that there is one on Vermont and 8th...

  2. I'm Thai, so I think I've got an insider's say on this one.

If you're looking for a good sit-down Thai food experience, I'd recommend Palms Thai on Hollywood Blvd at Bronson (just west of the 101 ramp). They have an eclectic menu plus a Thai Elvis impersonator  who sings on the weekends. The only drawback is that it's noisy in the restaurant.

Another great place in Thai Town is Sanamluang on Hollywood Blvd across from Jumbo's Clown Room (somewhat west of Vermont Ave.). It's a Thai cafe with great food. Cash only, though. Totally authentic, right down to the decor and grime. It's open till 4 am. There are two other locations: North Hollywood (this one is bigger and brighter -- Coldwater Canyon Blvd across from Big Lots!) and Pomona (Indian Hill Blvd).

If you venture east, there's Green Papaya on Valley Blvd in Alhambra. It's just east of Fremont Ave.  also on Valley is Noodle World, which is actually pan-Asian, but it's owned by Thai people and the Thai food is also great. It's mostly noodle and rice dishes, though.
