  1. If you play baseball a lot, you don't need to worry about oil and creams in order to break in gloves.  Just play and it will soften up.

  2. I still go the old fashioned way. Cover it with baby oil, put a baseball in the web, tie it with about 5 rubber bands. Let it sit for week and it's always done the trick for me.

  3. It does work, but i've seen gloves break down and become ratty sooner after using it. You just rub the stuff all over and it basically weakens the leather and softens the glove. If you take a look, the company also sells a product called "pocket restore" for when the hot glove breaks your glove down.

If I were you, I'd just oil the c**p out of it and play a lot of catch. The season doesn't start for a while, it should be broken in by then.

  4. I think Hot Glove works well when you want to get your new glove broken in faster. Basically, you smear the stuff on and put it in the oven. The actual directions on the package are more specific and you need to follow them carefully. When my younger son had to retire his old Wilson glove - still the best one he's ever used - because he'd gotten so many autographs on it, he used Hot Glove to break in his new Mazuno. It took a couple rounds, but it worked.

  5. just play catch, thats the best way to break it in to your hand preferences..
