DOES lT MATTER WHERE YOU OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT... ?????

lets say there are 2 bank branches... for some reason you opened the bank account at the one further from you...

would it make a difference...

like i heard if you want to close the account WITHOUT hassel you must go to the branch at where you opened the account...

is there any other services that only the branch at which you opened your account can provide? or provide with less hassel???
