IS IT COMMON FOR A DOG'S FIRST HEAT TO PRODUCE NO BLEEGING? WE HAVE A FEMALE PIT AND HER FIRST HEAT SHOWED ALL THE SIGNS EXCEPT NO BLEEDING FROM WHAT WE COULD TELL.

  1. Go get her fixed and you wont have to worry about it.  There is really no sense to have her cycle if you are not going to breed her.

She probably just cleaned herself well and you didn't notice the blood.

  2. The bleeding part is only a week or so in the middle of the heat cycle. You may have also missed it.

Hey, I know,... get her spayed and you never have to worry about it. Now that she had even one heat her health risks have already gone up, please ensure her a good life and don't leave her intact any longer.

  3. I have a little red nose pitbull who is currently in her first heat. I have noticed she liked "down there" ALOT. *we try to keep her from doing this* This may be why you havent noticed any bleeding. Also, we thought she was in heat a few weeks ago when our other dog was too, but it turned out she wasn't. If you arent familiar with the signs her hoochie will stick out about a mile behind her. Mine sleeps alot, and wants to play ALOT at night.. shes a little t**d but I love her. Hope this helped a bit. If you have other questions call the vet and ask.,
