DON'T mess with the Rocky Statue or else..Please read on?

Remember what happened to Montreal when they messed with the statue?5 games and out....Pittsburgh fans mess with it...Goodbye Hossa, Malone, Conklin, Laraque, Roberts and Whitney out for 5 months and Crosby loses MVP to the Geico Man and they lose to the Wings in the Finals...Mr T made fun of it and he went down hard...Hasn't been seen since the 90s...Many pigeons do their business on it and well you know the rest..

My question-Besides the obvious,What symbols in your city would you be pissed aboot if another teams' fans defaced it?

We don't really have any symbols......what are they going to do? Dump a load of trash in the three rivers? Burn down the Heinz factory that makes baby food or something?

Defacing the Nassau Coliseum would be an improvement, in my humble opinion. Throw in the UN building as well

Here in Vegas, the only thing that would bother me would be defacing the Boulder Dam. Other than that, the rest can implode themselves.

I'm convinced that somewhere in the ACC Larry and d**k roll around naked in giant piles of money not unlike Scrooge McDuck.

I went to a Phillies game once, and had to pass the Rocky side of the Spectrum, and someone had drawn something on Rocky's trunks.  Let's just say it did Stallone no favors.

I'm a Devils fan.  If someone messed with a symbol of Newark, who'd notice? But when we want to mess with a symbol of Philly, we won't touch the Rocky statue.  We'll eliminate the middleman, sort of like Scott Stevens did in 2000.  We'll go right to the Flyers.

There's a new arena on another Broad Street, and its team is better than the Bullies.

& I think Whitney is only out for 3, isn't he?

I have no love for this town.  People can do what they want, because there is not any history or culture to deface.    

I guess that explains why when I visited Philly and pretended to be grabbing Rocky's junk in a picture, I have been cursed with excessive drinking.  :)

lol! so the rocky statue has some sort of curse on it for people who mess with it? i should send my boss over there to touch it.

i think people f*ck with the rocky statue cause it's not a "real" person, it's a made up hollywood character. i doubt most people would be inclined to mess with a statue or symbol of a real person who accomplished real things, ya know? for example, there's an art rooney statue outside of heinz field and a roberto clemente statue outside of pnc park. those don't get messed with because they were/are respected individuals. besides, that's the fastest way to get your *** beat around here.

other than those, maybe if someone somehow was able to deface the incline going up mt. washington? maybe did something to the fountain at point state park? but the homeless guys protect those pretty well so it would hard to do that.
