Hey, I am working for my town and my employer asked me to update their webpage. Their main computer guy doesnt have time right now so they wanted me to do it instead. So the computer guy installed this macromedia dreamweaver onto my computer and showed me some stuff. But, now that im working on it on my own, I am coming across some troubles publishing it (plus I dont have the users manual or anything, so Im just pretty much winging it lol) . Is there a simple icon I could click on to publish the changes I made onto a page? I edited and updated info on the page that I wanted to change, but i just dont know how to make it so that the actual website website will receive those changes.

k thankss!!!

  1. You need to connect to the site's server in order to upload your actual changes to the web. This is done by FTP through Dreamweaver. To set up FTP, you need the FTP account info which includes the FTP host (usually the site's url), the username and password. The computer guy might have this info. When you get the info, go to Site > New Site... > then choose the Advanced tab to enter the info.  There should be an icon in your top toolbar with up and down arrows. Click on it then go to Put to upload a file you have open.
