Im 19 and im a very good driver, I got my liceanse when I was 16. My girlfriend is 18 she got her liceanse like last year, and she hardly has any driving experience but she somehow passed the test. I mean she can drive she just needs to learn a little more about defenful driving so she can stay safe. She wrecked into me once when I was driving down her road and she pulled out of her driveway and hit me because their was a bush in her way and she just assumed no one was coming and she pulled out and hit me, luckily no one was hurt. I am just so worried about her and I really want her to stay safe. She is going to college and im about to start and she needs to be more experienced. I always drive us around because she usually doesnt want to and its hard to get her to but she does some. So what can I do I need to start school and she needs to be able to go to her school. I am tired of worrying about this we need to get on with our lives. Im just worried about her drivingby herself

  1. She needs to hire a driving instructor or have a relative take her out for driving lessons. Perhaps you could ride with her as well to try to build up her confidence.

  2. It is a fact of life these days. Many driving schools only teach the student how to pass the test and not really give them enough experience. The rest will only come with experience and trial and error now... or find an older person who she is willing to listen to to give her some more "lessons" for advice.

  3. Have her take an advanced driving school course.

  4. Have her read the driver's manual that they hand out at the DMV.  They offer lots of safety advice.  Maybe she'll learn something, whether it be consciously or subconsciously.

    It's worth a shot, right?
