we have a couple of druggies but they've come out and proved that 80% of baseballers in the USA are on the roids, no doubt a similar amount in the NFL, arn't we lucky when you stop and think about it guys.

  1. Three hearts has a good call. Here in America, all the fans of the sports know that the players are druggies. The players unions of all the sports threaten court injunctions and it is just a battle of lawyers. Real silly isn't it?

Ask Justin Charles about steroids. I don't think he ever played again after he was busted for Richmond. Let me know if he did, even a country league.

  2. If you had read and heard the news properly it was 80 ex and current baseball players not 80% of current players which would mean at least 1500 players would be on them including a vast amount of Aussies that ply their trade in the American leagues.

  3. Yes, watch it Jonesy, don't upset 'em in this section - because if you do you'll never be forgiven!

Yes, I have seen the news items you are referring to.Their BIG names have been caught out. And so many of them as well - it is causing big sponsors to have second thoughts about putting their money into the game.

Marion Jones, the Olympian has just been busted for steroids & has her medals taken from her - another bit of bad publicity. It's big news, this baseball cheating, in the US at the moment & rightly so.

The thing that is the most disturbing is the players association supporting the drug users & trying to hinder any investigation. You'd think they would want it cleaned up......but the AFL players association acted just in the same manner here.

  4. yeh

pretty stoopid how much th ben cousins thing had been  made such a big story. i meaqn there are hundreds of players on drugg\s that no one knows about or th public/ media couldnt care lesss about. not like he was th only oone in th world.

i guesss no matter where you are ther will be drugiies and cheats. it probably jus depends on how much presssure the fans and officials put on them to play well.

just goes to show how drugs r part of our culture

  5. Are you saying that American sports people take drugs more than the Aussies?

Get real, every nation takes drugs!

Lets not start saying how clean we are because we only have had a few 'come out'

Also, lets not start bagging other countries sports.

  6. Not that lucky I'd say the percentage is probably over 50% in any countries professional athletes.
