DRY ICE + ALCOHOL = ????

if add dry ice to hard alcohol what will happen? what will the vapour contain? will it be safe to inhale?

  1. the vapours will be CO2, not poisonous, but you will suffacate, die, dead, so long daisey pusher.

    You'll get a -74 F solution if you use 190 proof alcohol, which is also a deadly item because it is easy to misdose the ethanol ingestion.  If you use 80 proof, the CO2 will freeze the water out and you can remove the solid water and get a higher content alcohol.


  2. I don't know the scientific answer, but when I was in college, I was at a party where they mixed up a batch of root beer, dry ice and vodka.  It made alcoholic root beer slushes. I have no idea what, if anything, it did to our health for ingesting it, but I probably would not recommend it even though it tasted good and did not seem to do any harm.
