  1. Do a salt water gargle to keep the area clean. It will also help to prevent dry socket. Take a glass and fill it with warm/hot water (as hot as you can stand it without burning your mouth). Add a good amount of salt and stir until it dissolves. Gargle in small amounts until you finish the glass. I would do this every few hours. Don't swallow the saltwater...it'll just make you nauseous. Make sure you keep hydrated. Soup is good. Get alot of rest. If this still concerns you, call your dentist or the dentist who is on call at night/over the weekend. I think you'll be fine.

  2. If you had a dry socket, you'd have HORRIBLE pain.  My labor pains didn't hurt as bad as my dry socket pain.  It hurt right away....I don't think you have a dry socket.  If you had your teeth taken out 2 days ago, it might be possible that it's just healed enough to where you don't see the clot anymore.  Just to be on the safe side though, call in the morning and go see your Oral Surgeon and have him take a look at it.  Good Luck.
