OK, it is capable of 7.1 24bits, and 96k audio samples? but I have yet to find a single one w/ that high of audio sampling....I know it's not much of a gain when you go that high, but it would be the closest thing to perfect, and heck, i just wanna hear it....is that so much to ask?

  1. Here is a thread off of AVSForum that lists some movies and their compression audio codecs.  Check out the very first post.

By the way there a alot more movies like Rambo, Live Free and Die Hard and many more all on Bluray with DTS-HD sound.

  2. Blu Ray movies.  The player must be hooked up with HDMI and your receiver must be capable of decoding it.  Click on the link and view the audio section.

BTW, the best "Codec" is arguable among enthusiasts.  the top of the line is:

DTS Master, Dolby true HD and PCM uncompressed.  ****PCM is not a codec, it is the true music.......
