I recently hooked up a Digital Stream converter box. We have an outdoor roofmounted antenna and when i searched for channels it came up with nothing. I am now recieving one of two messeges; "!No Program", "!Weak Signal". I have checked the channels In my local area and I should have several, but nothing is working. What are my options now?

  1. Do you have a VHF+UHF antenna, or just a VHF antenna?  Most DTV is on the UHF band during the transition, while most analog TV is on the VHF band.  DTV channel numbers don't correspond to the actual channel they are using.  Most TV stations will abandon their UHF channels and broadcast DTV on their original VHF channels after February 17, 2009.

Is your antenna pointed the correct direction?  The narrow end is the front.  I see a lot of antennas mounted backwards.

  2. have you done the Autochannel search.... you can also see.. if it works by using rabit ears antena... if it doenst work there... there must be something wrong with the box...

  3. If you are in the USA then you can go to antennaweb and input your address.  It will then tell you what stations are in your area and which way your antenna has to be pointed.  It is also possible you might need a different antenna.

  4. You have to know where the signal is coming from and point the antenna in the direction of the transmitter. HD is a directional signal.

  5. Try using a cheap radio shack antenna connected directly to ur convertor box.
