DTV question...EASY points ?

First of all i do not have cable. I watch all my TV on my computer using this TV Wonder 650 USB TV tuner. here more info on it

ATSC HDTV / QAM receiver / analog TV / video input adapter

My question is will i need to buy a DTV converter box because of the switch???

  1. IT ONLY RECORDS from an antenna source, which can just be off air, you would need to purchase directv for the programming source

  2. No you do not need a converter box. The "ATSC" tuner listed in the specs is what receives over the air digital broadcasts.

    If you are already using it for analog reception, go into your software and have it scan for digital antenna signals.

    Most areas in the US already have digital broadcasts.
