DVD 108 RATING PROBLEM

Question

my alba dvd108 player refuses to play some specific dvds says that cd is rated and asks for pasword to continue.i have read the manual about reseting to default settings(password7890) but so far the dvd still says 'RATING ERROR'.when i check the set up for rating it has been set at 1(KIDS),I have tried to change the rating to 8(ADULT) but the player still asks for a password.Since i have never put any password since i bought the dvd ive tried putting the default password from the manual i.e 7890 but the message i get is 'rating error' please assist me on how i can change the rating from 1 (KIDS)to 8(ADULT).I would really appreciate it if you could help me solve this problem otherwise the player is reliable. thank you .cyrus wanjohi
