Question:

DVD Camcorder - what one should I get from Kays/Littlewoods?

I have never had a camcorder before - it doesn't have to be the highest spec but I need to be able to record evening stuff with lower light - and unfortunately I can only buy from Kays or Littlewoods catalogues (no credit card - shock horror in this day and age! I have just never applied for one!)

The info the catalogue provides is of course quite basic.

I have looked on the "Which" website and am still none the wiser...maybe you can enlighten me?

Please!!!

Thank you x*x

  1. I think you will pay higher price than a high street shop if you buy from Kays or littlewoods. All most all good DVD cam have the capability of recording at low light.

  2. DVD based camcorders will provide you with the worst possible video quality - especially for any sort of upload to computer for editing.

Personally, I would NEVER recommend one - and I believe they should be recalled by the manufacturers because of such poor quality.

Maybe hard drive based or flash based. But for best quality, miniDV tape continues to provide that. The type of storage media used has little to do with the camcorder's low-light characteristics.

    Canon ZR800 or Canon ZR900.

  3. dude just get one you can tape you and your missus on !!! thats all you need fella !!! have fun !!!
