It would help if you mentioned the make and model of your player - some will play discs not intended for the UK market, either by default or by entering a 'secret' code via the remote. So, hard to say without knowing what player that you have.

yes it will play...some dvds need to be changed,this can be done by entering a code via the remote control..the codes are available online for free

It will if it's a region-free player, but that's an American disc.
