Question:

DVD Label Maker Help?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to burn the actual photo of a dvd title directly to the DVD without some expensive program or expensive discs? I've heard of lightscribe, and the whole printing it out stuff, but I'm looking for something that can be directly burned to the disc, any disc, by using a program. I have a DVD burner, so I'm sure this is possible somehow.

  1. A DVD 'burner' is just the hardware you use to write the information (such as your movie) to the DVD disc.  (You aren't actually burning anything, the term burning is just common slang for writing information to discs.)  The only way you can 'burn' a cover on your DVD is with LightScribe.  When you buy a DVD at a store, the image you see on the disc is actually silk-screened on.  They make so many at once, that it is cost effective to label them this way.

Sorry to say, but you are either going to have to buy labels and print them on a printer, or get LightScribe.  Unless you know someone that silk-screens.

  2. I cannot agree with busyblittle more. So, if you choose a label designing software, I recommend you try Label mx Pro, with features:offering free ready label templates, easy to use,  powerful design and edit functions and more.
