  1. Any branded DVD would do , like .. Philips , Samsung , Onida ...

    I have Onida DVD and it's working fine for the past 3 years.

    Make sure that you buy a DVD which has a built in amplifier so that you can just plug the speakers directly to the DVD .


  2. There are two types of DVD players- one with speakers.

    second speakers required. The second kind are more sturdy and durable. While buying see that it has 5.1 speaker out put. If you recording type then see that it has slots both for normal antenna as well as DV input. Another thing to be seen that it should have slots for attaching the USB inputs and video camera input. Then the DVD player should be able to play various formats like, dat, mepeg, mp3, MPEG 4, camera photos etc.
