Hi I have a Pioneer XV-DV900 and it wont play DVDs. It will play VCDs and and CDs however. When I put a DVD in it comes up with the message "No Disc". I have checked the region and they are compatible, and the DVDs play on another player that we have. Appreciate your help, thanks!

  1. Hmm... the only thing that comes to mind is are you trying to play a bootleg (burnt/copied) DVD? Some DVD's player will not play burnt DVD's. Although oddly at the same time they'll easily play a burnt CD.

If thats not the case take the DVD player back or anty up on the warranty (which I assume it has). If it's recognizing CD's theres no reason why it shouldn't recognize a authentic DVD. :)

  2. May either have a damaged eye or dirty eye. Clean or replace.
