Question:

DVD/(Player) Quality Question?

Hello. I'm having trouble watching dvd's that I've rented from my local video rental store. Now I know that some of the dvd's that I/people rent are scratched up a bit and cannot play on the dvd player. But recently like almost NONE of the dvd's will play! And I'm wondering if it could be my dvd player that doesn't/can't read them correctly anymore? I've tried the dvd's in my computer's dvd player, and most of the time they will work, although the dvd player in my computer is a better quality than the dvd player hooked up to my tv. So anyway, if it is the player that isn't working properly, is there a way to clean it some how? I've had the player for about 6-8 years. Is it just getting old? Is it time to buy a new one? Thx.
