I have a few movies on my laptop that are format avi and i want to burn them onto the a blank disk so i can play the films on my dvd player. So i converted the films from avi to mpeg-4 but it doesn't work on the dvd player as it just comes up with no disk.

Can anyone help me with the problem? Do i have to change the format of the video to something else other than avi and Mpeg-4?

  2. Some of the more basic DVD players will not play a disc with just a video on it, it needs other formatting first. You are best to use some other software like nero which will do all the formatting, menu's and titles and every thing for you.

  3. Most dvd players only read dvd files, not mpeg or avi. Try something like what is found at http://www.download.com/Any-Video-Conver... then burn them to a dvd. Make sure there is a video_ts and audio_ts or it won't be readable, but most dvd burning programs do this for you.

  4. I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

    2. Add or drag-n-drop as many video files as the DVD can handle
