Question:

DVD-R damaged during finalization... can the data be retrieved still?

We had someone film our wedding for us on a Panasonic camcorder. We didn't really care if it came out perfect or anything, just thought it would be cool to have a film of it. Anyway, we took it home and read the manual and it said to finalize the DVD-R so that you could view it on other devices. So we carefully followed the directions and it stopped in the middle of the finalization and erred out. Now we cannot even view the film because the camera throws an error. Is there some kind of service out there where people can still get the data off a DVD-R anyway?
